'The Golden Bachelor' Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist divorce 3 months after marriage.

"The Golden Bachelor" Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist announced their divorce Friday, three months after their televised wedding.

"Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations and we've looked closely at our situation, our living situation and so forth and we've kind of come to the conclusion, mutually, that it's probably time for us to dissolve our marriage," Turner said on "Good Morning America."

They married in January after meeting on the inaugural season of "The Golden Bachelor," a spinoff of "The Bachelor."

"I don’t think we can tell you how many people told us that it gave them so much hope," remarked. "We want none of that to change for anybody."

Turner and Nist could not explain their split but said they had problems picking where to reside. Nist is a New Jersey financial services expert and Turner is a retired Indiana restaurateur.

"We looked at homes in South Carolina, we considered New Jersey, and we just looked at homes after home," he said. "But we never got to the point where we made that decision."

On the first season of "The Golden Bachelor," seniors may find love, Turner and Nist won hearts. Turner was looking for love after Toni, his high school sweetheart, died in 2017.

Turner and Nist said they still love each other after their brief marriage. "There’s no doubt in my mind, I still am in love with her," stated. "I root for her every day."
