8 Yoga Pose-Enhancing Digestion  

Wind Relieving Pose: Lie on your back, bring your knees to your chest, and wrap your arms around them. This pose helps release gas trapped in the intestines. 

Half Lord of the Fishes Pose: Sit with legs extended, bend your right knee over the left leg, and place your right foot outside your left thigh. Twist your torso to the right, placing your right hand behind you and your left elbow on the outside of your right knee. This twist massages the abdominal organs. 

Thunderbolt Pose: Kneel and sit back on your heels with an upright spine. This pose is unique as it can be done right after eating and helps promote digestion. Seated Forward Bend: Sit with your legs extended in front of you, inhale and raise your arms overhead, then exhale and fold forward from the hips over your legs. This pose stimulates the digestive organs and stretches the spine. 

Triangle Pose: Stand with your feet wide apart, turn your right foot out 90 degrees and your left foot in slightly. Extend your arms to the sides and bend over your right leg, placing your right hand on your ankle, shin, or the floor while stretching your left arm toward the ceiling. This pose stretches and stimulates the digestion in the abdominal area. 

Cobra Pose: Lie face down, press your feet and legs down, place hands under your shoulders and gently lift your chest off the floor while keeping your hips grounded. This backbend stimulates the abdominal organs. 

Standing Forward Bend: Stand up straight, exhale and bend forward from the hips, letting your head hang and placing your hands beside your feet. This pose helps relieve stress, which can improve gastrointestinal function. 

Child’s Pose: Kneel on the floor, touch your big toes together, sit on your heels, then separate your knees about hip-width apart and lay your torso down between your thighs. This relaxing pose gently compresses the abdomen to aid in digestion and relieve bloating.
