The 1895-O Morgan Silver Dollar is a coin that holds both historical significance and numismatic allure. Minted at the New Orleans Mint in Louisiana, this coin is part of the iconic Morgan Silver Dollar series, which is highly popular among collectors.

The obverse of the coin features the familiar portrait of Lady Liberty, facing left, with the word "LIBERTY" inscribed on a headband.

Surrounding her are thirteen stars, representing the original colonies. The date "1895" is located below the portrait.

On the reverse side, an eagle with outstretched wings is depicted, holding arrows and an olive branch, symbolizing America's readiness for war and desire for peace.

Above the eagle is the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST," and below it is the inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA." Additionally, the denomination "ONE DOLLAR" is inscribed.

The 1895-O Morgan Silver Dollar is notable for being the only Morgan Dollar issue from the New Orleans Mint without a business strike.
